HISTORY
Born in 1950 Didier ROUSSARIE, has always had a passion for drawing and painting, which eventually became one of his favorite hobby. He has been expressing this passion for many years on canvas.
In the late 1990's, Didier Roussarie always trying to broaden his artistic horizons met Ms. et Mr. Roux, Earthenwaremaker in Angoulème. Mr. Roux who had been elected best French Earthenwaremaker explained Didier Roussarie most about his work.
Didier Roussarie then created "LE BOUCLIER DU MOULIN D'ÉCOYEUX".
This particularily shaped pieces of ceramic are big which provides these with an exceptional style.
LES BOUCLIERS DU MOULIN D'ÉCOYEUX are all unique, handed painted. Each of these required many hours of work.
Because of their large size an important proportion of these "boucliers" break after a few bakings.
These works of art placed anywhere in a house cannot leave indifferrent.
